Cairo - Mubasher: Beyti, a subsidiary of Almarai Company, has inaugurated five new production lines at its Nubaria factory in Beheira Governorate, with a total investment of EGP 1 billion, according to a press release.
The expansion aims to boost productivity and advance food-sector localization while improving product quality. It will also secure jobs and strengthen exports to Egypt and 45 global markets.
Supported by Almarai’s advanced production technologies, the new lines will cover cheese, yogurt, and drinking yogurt.
Moreover, the company introduced two new cheese varieties to broaden product offerings and meet consumer preferences.
As part of its localization strategy, Beyti has integrated a locally manufactured machine into its production system, reinforcing efforts to increase Egyptian-made components.
It is worth noting that the group currently sources more than 67% of its raw materials and packaging locally. It operates an integrated 120-feddan facility producing over 130 products, with an annual production capacity reaching 650,000 tons.
In his opening remarks during the inauguration, Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry, stated: “The state continues its efforts to provide a suitable climate for attracting more quality investments, promoting the use of advanced technologies, and creating direct and indirect job opportunities.“
For his part, Abdullah El-Bader, CEO of Almarai, said: “These new investments reflect Almarai’s continued commitment to supporting Beyti’s operations and strengthening its presence in the Egyptian market, which remains one of the Group’s most strategic markets.”
“These new investments represent a strategic addition to our operational capabilities, raising the total number of production lines to 32 and strengthening our ability to meet the needs of consumers and the growing local market,” the CEO added.
During the first nine months (9M) of 2025, the net profits of Almarai increased by 5.78% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.99 billion from SAR 1.88 billion.
